Just 16 miles east of Seattle, Issaquah is a destination for outdoor enthusiasts, hikers, and paragliders. Issaquah is surrounded by the Issaquah Alps (Cougar Mountain, Squak Mountain, and Tiger Mountain) and also neighbors the cities of Bellevue and Redmond.  Farmer’s markets, a zoological park, and operating trolleys add to the charm of the historic downtown. In the Highlands however, newly built communities take advantage of transit hubs, parks, and open space.
